Our bumper crop of World Inspired saplings!

World Inspired Tents Tree Campaign news

We are delighted with the progress of the saplings for this year’s Tree Campaign, which are thriving thanks to the perfect combination of showers and sunshine that the Devon spring and summer have so far thrown at them!

This is the fifth season of the campaign, where we give each of our customers an oak sapling to plant - both to mark their occasion and to help absorb CO2.  There are now many hundreds of World Inspired saplings out there, with lots more ready to go this year.

We are hoping that there will be lots more sun and just enough rain this summer to help keep them all healthy and happy, wherever they are!

Sharpham Estate - one of our favourite tipi venues!

We may be a little bit late to the party, but we have recently discovered the stunning Sharpham Estate, and we were so impressed by the beauty of this venue and the outstanding service that their events team provide, that we wanted to share the loveliness!

Dating back to the 1770s, and overlooking the River Dart in South Devon, this stunning Palladian Mansion offers five rooms that are licensed to hold wedding ceremonies, including the Inner Hall with its majestic “floating elliptical” staircase.

As well as stylish accommodation for the bride and groom and up to 28 of their guests, Sharpham also offers experienced wedding coordinator, Rosie Weston (who we can’t recommend highly enough!) and her award winning Vine Event Catering team.

The most important part of any wedding – for the World Inspired Tents team - is where to put the tipis for the reception, and this is where Sharpham really shines for us.  Set amongst beautiful rolling countryside, and with the perfect tipi pitching lawns outside the house, this really is as good as it gets!

For a closer look at this beautiful venue have a look at their wedding video, and for more information on Sharpham weddings please call Rosie on 01803 732 766 or email her at info@vineeventcatering.co.uk

MUTA News - choosing a temporary structure made simple

We’d like to say a huge congratulations to Jon Parr for being elected President of MUTA, the trade association for temporary structures including tipis, and marquees in the UK.

10 years ago Jon was the first person to introduce Nordic tipis to the UK, and in many ways we all have Jon to thank for the many thousands of events that have taken place in Tentipi Event tents since then.  It's fantastic to have Jon leading such a valuable organisation as MUTA and we're excited about the changes he will bring.

As MUTA members we have to adhere to their strict Code of Practice.  We are continually assessed on quality and the ability to demonstrate compliance with the Health and Safety Executive’s approved best practice for the marquee industry.

Please have a look at MUTA's all new website. It's full of information and has a useful section on 'Why Use a MUTA Member'.  They also have a great interactive map to help people chose accredited members by structure type and location – an invaluable tool for anyone planning an outdoor event.

Quite simply, membership of MUTA is a privilege that has to be earned.  Most importantly of all it ensures peace of mind for the customer.  So, whomever you choose for your tipi, please ensure they are a MUTA member.

New friends, useful links and a glass of bubbly!

Last week some of the World Inspired Tents team were lucky enough to take a trip to Bristol to attend a Little Wedding Tweet Up, organised by the lovely and talented Kirsten of The Little Wedding Helper fame.

It was the first of these events that we have been able to get to, and it was well worth the trip.  Held at Goldbrick House (a stunning Champagne bar, restaurant and wedding venue in the heart of Bristol), not only did we get to sample delicious canapés and bubbles, we also had the opportunity to talk shop and exchange notes with some super wedding industry talents. If you are planning a wedding and looking for ideas and inspiration it’s well worth having a look at what these guys are up to - The Wedding Secret, Pieminister, Polished Studio, Tricia Designs, Bristol Bridal Boutique and Ido Wedding Films.

We were lucky to get chatting with John from The Wedding Secret, who provide a fantastic online resource for anyone planning a wedding in Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire or the Cotswolds.  They have a comprehensive list of local suppliers, a free wedding planning tool and an online magazine filled with articles, advice and pictures – take a peek!

(Many thanks to Matt Willis Photography for the images)
