Native Luxury Bell Tent Hire

Here at World Inspired Tents we would like to introduce our customers to Native – the Bell Tent glamping experts. We’re delighted to have teamed up with these super people to offer their furnished Bell Tent Camps to anyone planning a World Inspired tipi event.

Native’s traditionally designed tents are made from quality cotton canvas and come in three different sizes, comfortably accommodating groups of up to eight people. Have a look at their packages for full details of the tent sizes and furnishing options – they really have thought of everything!

For brides and grooms, Native’s six metre bridal tent is dressed elegantly, setting it slightly apart from the rest of the camp, to help make the happy couple feel pampered and special.  With the very best king size air bed, mirror, dressing table, seating, sheepskin rugs, bunting and fairy lights; it’s a dreamy little hideaway once the festivities are over!

For more information of the wonderful world of Native glamping, please get in touch with them on mail@nativeoutdoors.co.uk or 07810 698 929 or have a peek at their website http://nativeoutdoors.co.uk.

The National Sculpture Prize & The Broomhill Art & Sculpture Foundation

This year we are delighted to be supporting one of our favourite local venues – The Broomhill Art Hotel - by joining some super companies in sponsoring their National Sculpture Prize.

The prize, which was launched in 2009, provides 10 new and emerging sculptors (chosen by a panel of judges) with £1000 to create a sculpture designed to be placed outdoors. Two winners are chosen from the original group of ten, one voted for by a panel of judges and another voted for by the public.  The finalists’ work, including biographies, blogs and artist statements can be seen on the Broomill website. The winners will be announced in October.

The final ten sculptures are now on display at Broomhill Art Hotel, and visitors have the opportunity to cast their votes at the exhibition or online.  We highly recommend a visit, and don’t miss the chance to pop into their outstanding restaurant while you are there!

Magical days in the Cotswolds for Team World Inspired!

What a super duper few days we had in the beautiful Cotswolds last week.  Although it was go, go, go, it was also a little bit like being on holiday with all that sunshine and picture postcard countryside!

The excitement started last Friday, when an incredible team of talented wedding suppliers descended on the tipis which were pitched at the idyllic Burford Garden Company.  The team was expertly organised by the awesome Kate Cullen (wedding stylist extraordinaire) to create a styled shoot for the Mr and Mrs Unique Magazine and blog.

Kate had pulled together beautiful hire items for styling the tipis.  Stunning tableware, including coloured glasses and glass chargers, was generously supplied by Whitehouse Event Crockery (have a peek at their Lookbook for a flavour), and Gilded Linens supplied gorgeous sequinned runners and geometric napkin holders.

We also had some very kind suppliers who created bespoke items for the shoot. A stunning garland came from Things by Laura.  Some of the most imaginative wedding stationery ever constructed (quite literally!) was supplied by Dottypink Designs.  And a selection of super stylish cakes came from the lovely Made by Marie Green Cakes.  The styling was topped off by incredible creations courtesy of Acacia Floristry.

Our model for the day (Zoe Alicia Huckerby) had a shoot make over by a brilliant beauty team which consisted of Heidi Vince Hair, Bella Bridal Hair by Sandie and Metamorphosis Beauty, who created two very different but equally beautiful looks.  Our model was dressed in stunning vintage dresses supplied by Days of Grace,  shoes from Charlotte Mills Bridal  and jewellery from super cool Wolf & Moon.

Superb event caterers Parsnip Mash (who are based in Bristol) supplied beautifully prepared and styled food for the shoot (and a good quantity of tasty treats for everyone involved in the shoot too – we are still dreaming about the brownies & macaroons…).

Once the styling and dressing was complete the brilliant Paola de Paola (Photography) was able to start capturing the amazing details, and she worked flat out all day making sure that nothing was missed.

Towards the end of the day the World Inspired team, along with Kate Cullen and Acacia Floristry, switched attention to the fast approaching Open Weekend, and added and dressed all the remaining tables before the tipis were opened up to the public, the following morning.

Along with the Open Weekend visitors we were also joined on Saturday by one of our favourite photographers, James Darling, who very kindly came all the way up from Cornwall to document the weekend, capture any styling details that weren’t to be included in the Mr & Mrs Unique feature, and talk to our lovely customers about all manner of wedding photography matters!  Simon from Parsnip Mash also stayed with us to discuss catering options with potential customers.

We really are so very grateful to have worked with such wonderful talents, for all the pieces that were specially created for the shoot, from Kate Cullen for working so hard putting the brilliant team and (still secret!) styling concept together, to Mr & Mrs Unique for their support, Paola de Paola and James Darling for sharing their talents with us.  Finally we would like to extent a massive thanks to Burford Garden Company for all their hospitality!

All the above images are courtesy of James Darling Photography.

Paola de Paola’s images will be available once Mr & Mrs Unique’s feature has been published.  Watch this space….!

A tasty weekend ahead!

Fresh from the excitement of our most recent Open Weekend, there’s no relaxing for the World Inspired Tents team. As well as our nicely filled diary to keep us busy, we are now gearing up for the Exeter Food Festival where will be supporting our good friends from Darts Farm with the Food is Fun Teepees.

The teepees (or tipis as we usually call them!) lie at the heart of Exeter Food Festival, where visitors can “discover the essence of local and artisan food and drink”.  Offering a range of demonstrations, master classes and workshops, visitors can enjoy everything from pasty making with Chunk and a macaroon master class to a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! Have a look at the Festival Programme for full details of everything that is taking place over the weekend.

The Festival is held in the courtyard of Exeter Castle and Northenhay Gardens in the centre of Exeter from 23rd to 25th April. For details about getting to the festival have a look here.

In the midst of our spring Open Weekends!

Another Open Weekend is behind us - the sun shone, the visitors smiled and the tipis looked absolutely beautiful!

The brilliantly talented team of stylists that joined us brought their own interpretations of the ‘rustic-luxe’ theme, and their ideas complemented each others beautifully.  With our old friend Jan from Devon Vintage China, and new acquaintances Natalie from Meadowsweet Vintage and Elle from Inspire Hire (complete with Kate Cullen linen, Oyster & Pearl stationery and a chandelier!), we were surrounded by creativity.

Dressing and styling of the tipis wouldn’t have been complete without the glorious blooms supplied by dear Jess from West Dorset Wedding Flowers by the Poundbury Florist.  From gypsophila to orchids and everything in between, her beautiful floristry complimented the stylist’s work superbly.

The infinitely generous and accommodating South West Event Hire supplied tableware and chairs, and did a fair bit of to-ing and fro-ing for us on set up day – thank you once again Gordon!

Visitors needing advice and ideas on catering were in for a treat with Dartmoor Kitchen in the tipis – fresh from their Wedding Industry Award win.  We were also treated to a selection of mouth watering Tom’s Pies and an enormous carrot cake to keep the team’s energy levels up over the weekend.

All of the tipi loveliness was once again expertly captured by Sarah Lauren Photography (see above), the tipi wedding expert photographer and all round legend! Thank you so much Sarah.

Things would have been somewhat uncomfortable without Premier Luxury Loos, and the plushest facilities available on four wheels – they certainly contributed to the ‘luxe’ element of the weekend, completely dismissing even a hint of rustic!

Finally, on to our goody bags, and this year they were the best yet, packed with offers and samples. With treats from Wed Magazine, The Little Wedding Helper, Oakwood Soaperie, Cloud Nine Marshmallows, Wildflower Favours, Paper Tree and Bespoke Confetti – all our brides to be left with a smile.

And the fun isn’t over yet – for anyone who couldn’t make it to Darts Farm, this year we have a second spring Open Weekend at Burford Garden Company in the Cotswolds on 18th and 19th April.  With a new dream team of suppliers, we will be joined by Kate Cullen (styling), Acacia Floristry, Gilded Linens, Things By Laura, Parsnip Mash, Whitehouse Event Crockery and James Darling Photography.
