What a super duper few days we had in the beautiful Cotswolds last week. Although it was go, go, go, it was also a little bit like being on holiday with all that sunshine and picture postcard countryside!
The excitement started last Friday, when an incredible team of talented wedding suppliers descended on the tipis which were pitched at the idyllic Burford Garden Company. The team was expertly organised by the awesome Kate Cullen (wedding stylist extraordinaire) to create a styled shoot for the Mr and Mrs Unique Magazine and blog.
Kate had pulled together beautiful hire items for styling the tipis. Stunning tableware, including coloured glasses and glass chargers, was generously supplied by Whitehouse Event Crockery (have a peek at their Lookbook for a flavour), and Gilded Linens supplied gorgeous sequinned runners and geometric napkin holders.
We also had some very kind suppliers who created bespoke items for the shoot. A stunning garland came from Things by Laura. Some of the most imaginative wedding stationery ever constructed (quite literally!) was supplied by Dottypink Designs. And a selection of super stylish cakes came from the lovely Made by Marie Green Cakes. The styling was topped off by incredible creations courtesy of Acacia Floristry.
Our model for the day (Zoe Alicia Huckerby) had a shoot make over by a brilliant beauty team which consisted of Heidi Vince Hair, Bella Bridal Hair by Sandie and Metamorphosis Beauty, who created two very different but equally beautiful looks. Our model was dressed in stunning vintage dresses supplied by Days of Grace, shoes from Charlotte Mills Bridal and jewellery from super cool Wolf & Moon.
Superb event caterers Parsnip Mash (who are based in Bristol) supplied beautifully prepared and styled food for the shoot (and a good quantity of tasty treats for everyone involved in the shoot too – we are still dreaming about the brownies & macaroons…).
Once the styling and dressing was complete the brilliant Paola de Paola (Photography) was able to start capturing the amazing details, and she worked flat out all day making sure that nothing was missed.
Towards the end of the day the World Inspired team, along with Kate Cullen and Acacia Floristry, switched attention to the fast approaching Open Weekend, and added and dressed all the remaining tables before the tipis were opened up to the public, the following morning.
Along with the Open Weekend visitors we were also joined on Saturday by one of our favourite photographers, James Darling, who very kindly came all the way up from Cornwall to document the weekend, capture any styling details that weren’t to be included in the Mr & Mrs Unique feature, and talk to our lovely customers about all manner of wedding photography matters! Simon from Parsnip Mash also stayed with us to discuss catering options with potential customers.
We really are so very grateful to have worked with such wonderful talents, for all the pieces that were specially created for the shoot, from Kate Cullen for working so hard putting the brilliant team and (still secret!) styling concept together, to Mr & Mrs Unique for their support, Paola de Paola and James Darling for sharing their talents with us. Finally we would like to extent a massive thanks to Burford Garden Company for all their hospitality!
