Sam & Hattie’s wedding was held on Midsummer’s day in a clearing in the woods at her family’s home in Devon.
The dress code was black tie and extremely glamorous (hats were banned!). Female guests were asked to wear sparkly evening gowns, and Hattie’s dress was a stunning handmade black couture gown, with black lace, navy & black taffeta and deep purple silk. Each layer of the skirt was detachable, and Hattie referred to it as the “Russian Doll” of wedding dresses.
The tipis were decorated with hundreds of flowers, bought from Covent Garden Flower Market the day before, and miles of extra fairy lights wrapped around vertical tipi poles. Outdoor fire pits were hired from Jakjam to add warmth and atmosphere.
The celebrations were topped off with a surprise firework display, and the party lasted well into the following day!
